Two Times

I woke up stiff today, not really a surprise, and since I didn’t need to be anywhere right away, I went through the yoga exercises. I tried the Create Routine, which is nice because I don’t have to pause in between each exercise and select the new one. It looks like it only holds one, though, so unless there’s a hidden option to save more, I’m not sure I’ll actually use it to store a routine. More likely I’ll just pick what I want to do that day. Unfortunately, the only options are the Yoga and Strength exercises, rather than the games, so I’ll have to add those in or do the ones picked out for My Wii Fit Plus.

Later on tonight I decided to try one of the default routines, and then I played a couple of the game. I saw Rhythm Kung Fu on the list last night after I was finished, so I had to try that :D I may need to count for myself to find the rhythm, though *lol*

Wii Fit Time: 50 mins
Games: Yoga, Health, Training Plus

I also hit my very conservative BMI goal. It’s nice to see the screen give a celebration, but when my daily body tests have shown my BMI fluctuating my more than my goal each day, it’s hard not to be skeptical :P

Still, I put in a new one and decided not to have popcorn (made on the stove, with lots of oil and salt XD), so I’ll still take it as a plus.

Oh, and my computer is now working. I had to re-do the upgrade this morning. Last night’s failed, and my guess is that it was the lack of the video card drivers. So far things seem to be working out much better *knocks on wood*

Little Bit Late, Oh Well

Yesterday I had to fix something at work and was there late. That meant my evening schedule was pushed back, and by the time I got home it was too late for anything but a body test.

Today I had an old world raid scheduled, so I went straight to that. We finished there, and then did a profitable run of the ICC 5-mans (three upgrades, yay!), but I still had about an hour in the day, so I decided to switch games *lol*

Wii Fit Time: 44 mins
Games: Yoga, Aerobics, Balance

Now I need to find out why the Wii thought the day ended about a half hour ago, rather than just a few minutes…

Are There Rules About That?

Today, oddly enough, I wound up with more time than I usually do. I planned to do both the Yoga and Strength games all the way through. I did the Strength ones first, because I remembered hating them — I remembered right — but then I was hungry enough that I had to eat dinner. So I took a break, ate dinner, and came back and did the Yoga exercises. Are there rules about exercising so soon after eating? Oh well :P

Wii Fit Time: 50 mins
Games: Strength, Yoga

I thought about doing some of the other games to get to a full hour, but the Yoga back exercises make for a good cool down. I’ll have to remember that, and leave them until the end next time.

Now I need to remind myself how to add items to the store :)

So, Yeah…

Apparently after about a year away (and in a box) the Wii Fit still just says “Well, well, if it isn’t BD.” *lol*

Rearranging my apartment last year lost me my workout space. Today I figured out how I could move things around to not only get it back, but get more, so I’ve got everything hooked up again. I think I even wound up with a better location for the motion sensor.

I am now incredibly out of shape, but hopefully I’l be able to change that :P

Wii Fit Time: 30 mins
Game: Yoga

Now I just have to arrange things so I can get some time in every day again :)

So, according to my Wii Fit (“Well, well, well… if it isn’t BD”) it’s been 25 days since I last checked in. Therefore, today I went with the “something is better than nothing” theory :P

I’ve also made two decisions. The first is that I need to ditch the daily body test and only do it weekly. I’m not sure how accurate the scale on the Balance Board is, but when it results in occasionally jumping up four pounds for no reason, only to drop down again the next day, it’s somewhat demotivational.

The other is that while the yoga and aerobics has certainly helped my flexibility and endurance, they haven’t done much else. Therefore, I’m going to try to focus on the strength exercises for a while. I don’t like them as much, so I started neglecting them before :P

Anyway, short list today, and I went back to the smallest duration on most of them.

Yoga:

  • Warrior
  • Triangle
  • Bridge
  • Shoulder Stand

Strength:

  • Single-Leg Extension
  • Torso Twists (6 reps)
  • Jackknife
  • Lunge
  • Sideways Leg Lift

I had a night off from my normal routiene, and so I apparently decided to spend it playing computer games *lol* In addition to a few quests in WoW I played Sims 2 (trying to convince myself I don’t need Sims 3 yet), and I finally installed Neverwinter Nights 2 and tired it. I’ve only had the game for about two or three years. It’s probably for the best, though. Ziggy is a gaming computer. Loading Holly down with that many probably would’ve broken his poor little CPU.

Anyway, I also decided to try Free Step for a longer time, in preparation for the Lost CD that’s already been shipped ^_^

Wii Fit Yoga

  • Warrior
  • Sun Salutation
  • Bridge

Aerobics

  • Free Step (30 mins)

I’m now at ~20 hours total, so I have a shiny silver time box now ^_^

Wii Fit

So, my reward to myself for doing the run game was a short work out. That’s a totally lame excuse, but I’m going with it :P

Wii Fit Yoga

  • Warrior
  • Sun Salutation
  • Standing Knee
  • Palm Tree

Aerobics

  • Basic Run

I’m going to stop doing day numbers now, since I went on vaction and then took some extra time off. But now that it’s been pointed out that maybe, just maybe, taking a week is pushing it, I’m starting back up ^_^ Slow start, though.

Wii Fit Yoga

  • Half-Moon
  • Sun Salutation
  • Cobra
  • Bridge

Aerobics

  • Advanced Step

I’ve given up watching Enterprise Season Three again. I read ahead in the episode summaries and realised no power in the verse could get me to watch tem at the best of times, much less while exercising, which was the original point. I’ll try them again some time in the future, maybe. I might just buy the whole series and skip ahead to the post-Xindi!crap parts of season four.

Instead, I’ve started Lost Season Three (what is it with me and third seasons?), so now that I’m not slacking off anymore, I should be posting more time on the recumbant bike, or doing Free Step. I don’t expect to be doing episode rants for Lost, though; I love it ^_^

Wii Fit Day Thirty-eight

Very short one today. I’m on my last night with Internet before going on a retreat until Sunday, and I want to get some WoW in :P

Which means, of course, no updates for the next few days :)

Wii Fit Yoga

  • Warrior
  • Sun Salutation
  • Bridge

  • Advanced Step
