Thursday night

So another pretty good kid’s class.

Taught the Adult class with kata then into softwork with sticking into flow fighting into Night of the living Dead – still one heck of a drill.

Lots of fun fighting.

The knee did very well.  Yes still some deep (or even not so deep) work I cannot do yet but other than avoiding those moves I just worked out and fought.  Pretyy good only a slight twinge on one move.

Great night at the dojo

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Taught a nice kids class with the kids doing the five hit Hardwork drill and doing it well.

Adult class Intu-Flow, Kata teaching the variations on Sanchin, then softwork movement then hardwork five hit drill with some of our variations.

No intensity

Hmm quiet night.  Just some knee circles and bending to test things out – not bad getting better every day.

Off to see Crank 2 with my daughter later tonight.

Monday night

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Taught the kids class teaching a close in shoulder roll strike followed by using the roll back up to whip the hand striking the groin and bring the hands up to a drop double palm strike knocking the person back to be followed by a front kick.

Then the adult class was Intu-Flow and some good knee work followed by a total dissection and reconstruction of the kata:  Sanchin, kanshiwa,  Seisan, Seichin and Sanseirui with Seichin and Sanseirui having the least tinkering.

It was Rav, Stan, Adam and I.

I am happy with the tinkering.

Quiet night

Taking it easy…….

All is well………….

Okay a great night (Thursday)

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Taught the kids class had one partner hold hand pads and smack the other partner who attacked the strikes with elbows and hammer fists.

Adult class:

Intu –flow to warm up and some knee work then into softwork drills moving into hardwork with six hits (yes this was the drill I got hurt doing) and it went very well.

Worked a number of our variations of this drill.

Then the Forward pressure test

One round of Forward pressure beginner level

30 seconds rest

repeat.

Monday we did 10 and my arms still were feeling it today but what the heck.

I am getting very weird about these ‘tests” I am starting to really have a perverse love of them.

The first round was the hardest as the muscles remembered every one of Monday night’s.

By the fifth round I was hitting a stride and starting to smile.

A nine I knew I would make ten again (so did Stan) and I thought what the heck why not one more and make it ELEVEN.

I loved every moment as I fought for form on the last one and I know I will feel each of them tomorrow.

I only had a problem doing the crow position at the end because Crow was right on my MCL’s sore spot and Crane was on my triceps sore spots.

So lots of fun tonight.

Wednesday night at the dojo

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Decent kids class.

Intu-Flow

Knee work

Only one student in so we did some Wauke work to Elbow Wauke work to some slow flow fighting basics.

Worked the knee pretty good and happy with the progression.

Still long way to go.

A nice long Intu-Flow night

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

I had a nice long Intu-Flow at the Canada Place Fitness Centre.

Did a lot of knee work on the ground.

The knee is coming back but has a long way to go yet.

Still, it will be better and stronger and more mobile by the time I am done rehabilitating it.
