Dojo

Lots of fun with the kids they worked really hard – body weight exercises and a different approach to teaching Kanshiwa.

Adult class was just Adam and Bernie and I so we just scrapped at slow to medium speed and sometimes full out on the ground for the entire class. Very good very tiring. 3 hours

Got home and did not want to miss Yoga tonight.

Really enjoying the pace and hip opening of Shiva Rea’s Daily Energy Shanti flow so did it and the forward bends and the relaxing Shivasina 23 + 6 + 5 = 34 minutes

25 hours 45 minutes………………….

Back at the dojo.

Had a fun kid’s class having them work on power kicks and strikes.

Adult class rolled for an hour or so then foundation conditioning then watching some of the magnificent MMA Uncaged – Sambo for MMA by Scott Sonnon on the Saddle positions.

So another 3.25

That makes it 15 hours…………

Dojo: Fun with the kids with body weight exercises and ground fighting moves.

Adults: First half moving the fulcrum forward and moving the axis to pivot on from the spine to the shoulder or point of impact.

Then worked with Rav on moving flow into small circles.

Got home and did Shiva Rea’s Daily Energy Shanti flow. I really loved it. Lots of flowing hip openers. This was the perfect flow to close the night out with.

So about 3.25 hours

That makes 11.75 hours and counting.

Tuesday and finally I am going back down to Canada Place Fitness Centre to train.

Trained for 2 hours doing a really nice long Intu-Flow I have not had the chance (or not made the chance) to do one this paced for a long time it was great. Then mobility work for a long time. Then just a little elliptical machine. Then Kata. Then back bends still having dreams of doing a real good wheel pose. Then elbow strikes on the heavy bag.

A nice night and another two hours.

8.5 hours and counting…………………

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Down at the dojo for a few hours of teaching.

Did Intu-Flow and other stuff with the kids.

Then for the adults I broke out my just arrived today Scott Sonnon MMA Uncaged MMA for Sambo five DVD set. Another fantastic set and we are just getting our feet in the water.

Mobility will be needed for this stuff and tonight showed me how much farther I had to go.

And if that was not enough when I got home I did Shiva Rea flow Yoga to really show me how non-mobile I am. Did her Daily Energy breath and air sequence then shivasina – oh made those twists and turns and reach back here grab your leg then twist then OH MY GOD! Shiva Rea rocks!

So I am calling teaching mat time and training so 3 hours of that then ½ hour of Yoga for 3.5 hours.

Now 6.5 hours and counting.
