Had a great day.

My dad and his wonderful wife, Judy are here visiting.

We all went over to Jared and Kristy’s so they could see two of the four great grands. Poor little Tia was very sick but they got to see how cute she is.

Then a nice evening.

Then Dad and I watched the prelims from last nights UFC (That was a great card by the way).

The it was 10:30 and I had to do the program.

Lots of reasons came to me as to why I should be able to skip out and I almost fell for it.

But I did:

6 bodyweight exercises on the tabata protocol 10 seconds rest, 20 seconds work for 8 rounds with 60 seconds between exercises. If the exercises are done on two sides I count “1” for each side.

Can’t say I burned up the reps tonight but I can say I was at 8/9 by the end of the Rocca Squats and I figure just doing it tonight was pretty good.

I will miss a round near the end of July because I have decided that after about seven years it is time to do another fasting ceremony. One fast a year for four fasts = a full ceremony.

So come July 22/23 I will be heading up to our elder’s fasting grounds. I will build my small willow hut and throw my tarps over it and after some entry ceremony I will be out there praying and meditating for about three and a half days. This is a traditional Cree fast so no food and no water for that time.

No way is it safe to do the program during that time and it would deflect and distract from what I am there to do.
