Met Reg for the first time in a while – our responsibilities have just not meshed for the some time.

Always great working with him and exchanging ideas.

My web of folks exchanging ideas and crossing over here and there is what has enhanced my martial training the most.

Working on a number of things.

This week’s TacFit was derailed by another cold.

Had some ideas for the Thai clinch that I tried out with Adam last night and showed to a Mauy Thai practitioner today. Worked really well. He is a good guy and was more than a little shocked when you could not break the clinch. He said there isn’t anyone in their club he can’t pry off but with what I was doing he couldn’t. Showed him and he is going to try it out. More on this to come…..

JMC is not only a point on the floor it is a space between you and the aggressor.

JMC when you are on the ground:

Your opponent’s Centre Mass must be made the JMC and you must control it.

When in top position you must move you mass over their centre mass making it the JMC and then block off all routes to shift.

When in bottom position you must set up your frames so when they move you can slide under their Centre Mass making it the JMC and sweep.

When your opponent has the JMC and applies pressure they are setting up a conflict – do not enter their conflict. Connect elsewhere and redirect the pressure — Short circuiting their efforts.
