Back to Tacfit and NLD — all feels so good
Been a while since I made daily notes to this blog and I apologise.
To say things have gotten weird and busy in my life would be an understatement.
My wife and I have taken on some responsibilities to two of our grand kids that are very rewarding but extremely exhausting. I am sure that at the end of my time none of this will be seen with any regret.
It has meant my tactical training was set aside for a while because all my energy was going into that endeavour.
My martial learning had the opposite effect and has grown in leaps and bounds.
I hope to renew my commitment to tactical fitness and my training in the Scott Sonnon TacFit line. I will be limiting my home workouts to IntuFlow simply due to having lost my ability to workout hard – space and the fear of waking the grand kids.
I hope to have Tacfit on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I also want to do a Tacfit Kettlebell on Saturday.
Well that is the plan we’ll see what energy level I end up with when hitting the dojo and if my grandson Ethan tags along on Saturday. That’s fun but with a two year old it makes doing timed concentrated workouts just a tad difficult.
Anyway folk I will blog how I am doing and post more information on the discussion forums.
I am organizing things so that I can begin to put some things down on video come spring.
Lots of mobility work just to loosen up.
Lots of review of what we have been working on watch for posts on the forum
Working on some new concepts that made us feel like white belts but we are figureing it out.
Mobility stuff working out some pulled thingies.
Taiji discussions with RickB and Tony.
Working on the Wauke
Been working a lot on exploration of the principles we ahve discovered.
I will be doing videos later this spring once we get a better handle on it all.
Very cool and very effective stuff……
Saturday at the dojo with Rick Bottomley and Tony Fell the three musketeers who make Saturday no matter what and have for years now.
Good discussions and revelations about the last year’s training and where we want to go.
Training and learning this year was great.
Personal responsibilities cut off my TacFit at the end but balance is back or rather I have adjusted to the new requirements so I should be back at it.
Martial learning was top of the line this year.
Sadly the school is an issue that has to be resolved this year.
Hopefully Bernie with have the plans ready soon and I can get an estimate on what getting a usable (if not “finished”) structure up.
Something has to change.
A good talk with Rick B down at the dojo.
