100 kg press on a machine (UGG) , used the bosses machine at the end of work just to get some presses in
100 kg times five .
Good session at BJJ
started of with swimming for underhooks , then swimming the neck clinch , then we did the arm drag and how to take the back , how to take back in several ways , and how to counter a rear bear hug/grab , then ground work , arm bars and triangles …. fun stuff
Did another session wth Knife , lots of laughs , lots of intensity , have come to the conclusion that if attacked in slow motion with a knife I have about a thirty percent chance of success

went and had a look at the BJJ comp on the Shore , good atmosphere , good competitors , good fights and a good standard .
Spent Saturday training with Darren working knife , testing my latest theory , developing , definately better results , worked distances and lots of passing the knife along its line of force .
did some juijitsu of course sharing some of the stuff id done during the week , and a little blade on the grond
Went back thursday , luckily technical and not the blow out of tuesday .
Did so much , but was all very clear and easilly assimilated , worked from guard and did a straight colar choke , also did collar choke when there pulled down and you come from grabbing there back to over there head , did kimura , armbar variation , and theguillotine from the same positions , shown how they all work of each other , and more importantly all the steps that make them about skill rather than effort , I cannot say enough about the instructor Paulo , if its hard work your doing it wrong , it should be easy …… definately the jiu in jiujutsu technically .
Rolled with there whitebelts , did well , attempted every move in sparring , and used the escapes from tuesday , was feeling good and could see the oppurtunitys and positions . The prior training was solid , but the stuff from even this week has improved my understanding and approach , I really put this down to good instruction . Rolled with one of guys and to be honest didnt see his rank , I’m thinking blue belt , small nimble strong , just a very fluid roll , transition , transition , transition …… am happier with what ive got on the ground than I was . And Im sure much more to come .
Went to a Jujustu club last night , happened to be the week before the biggest comp ….. winner gets to go to Abhu Dhabi ….
a shattering warm up , some excellent instruction , and just a room full of athletes .
theres fitness and theres fitness , was great fun
am really going through a reasesment at the moment , I think Martial arts and life have a lot in common , the values and gains in the transition .
time to get going forward .

all going well
know there was a couple more sessions in there …. will come to me maybe …..
152.5 for ten squats … not quite deep enough but ok
4 reps then a single , pul ups with 28.75 kg
couple pistols and a set of pull ups on the thick bar
