killer warmup , they refer to it as a warm up , but I think tis specifically designed to kill . lots of line work shrimping variations , squat jump sprawl combos , oh and ……
Paulo thought abs would be a good idea , with 17 folks in class each choosing one excercise of 100 reps , yup 1700 repititions and over an hour later we started training ….. only one mistake so we only did 50 jump sprawls to finish …… well as many as I could get out … why does the body not work anymore ……
awesome work ethic , and tough group , yeah I did stop , but then start , then stop and start , basically you just keep pushing through . The body is already adapting but have a long way to go .
the dexterity these guys have in use of there core muscles is astounding , Im not weak in that department , but cannot fire so individually and effeceintly im just too specialised , and just do not have the skills , very muching learning to walk again . Did find some usefull crossover from the grapplers toolbox work though with quad hops etc , was very good at a similar cariation in the warm up
Class was good , very interesting guard pass variation , involving the arms and upper body and sprawling out the legs , some good instruction , tips and rolling was fun .
exhausted but elated , will not pretend this sint one of the hardest things ive ever done .
but feel great 2day , even if a little sore .

apart from the warm up that left me dead …….
mostly gi chokes utilising your own gi , somewhat juijitsu specific , but was suprisingly usefull conceptually , good informaion on isolating and as said , chopping the tree down , and tips on improvising , rolled well , getting good feedback , working a lot on guard as a transition , fighting from sitting position and not so much on the back (when dominated) .
fun , physically tough , going better than expected technically .

have definately got some muscle damage in my side the core is just beat up right now ……
