F.E.U.R

did a quick recap of last week , Dazzle took Janet through basically the same thing .

working back to basics , power generation , trying to get the flinch going , getting that investment in shutting down the attack , worked into merging with force , fair bit of pad work , then some conditioning and started to up it with the guys , respnding well to the contact .

Got on my soapbox a bit about training mindset , and self expectation .

sunday was Uechi , went back to basics .

afterwards , strapped up even more and did some kettelbells , some screw push ups , and some pistol squats

today I rang Paulo and told him i’m taking a break from juijitsu .. fractured wrist , hyper extended elbow ….. Im going to get into a reconditioning phase/heal/take care and start fresh hopefully somewhere around the new year .

strapped up the body and did some light kettlebells , Darren left me the bouncy bar , but I’m too broken , though I want to get back to it and train some speed , maybe work on a light snatch .

Position and entry , decided to do trapping and a couple takedowns of position , working on hand speed and flow , creating a fence , some stuff on the interveiw and defensive potre , how to stand in base etc ….. more than enough .

Juijitsu

Triangles and Armbars from the guard 101 , good recap , always impressed by the instruction , there is always a simple better way to do most of this stuff . Am lucky to be getting such good instruction , just wish I could retain and do it all .

Good rolling , am tending to get put with the better guys now , which generally means getting my ass kicked and beat up , but its fun .

Sunday In the park

working drills and flow ,trying to get a base of what I consider the basics …. position , entry and cover , and the relation and flow between them , lots of simple drills , just need the time investment in the drills .

did some pocket stick , knife and even solo stick with ben , just to keep it interesting and show the congruency

tuesday Juijtsu , lots of stand up , so lots of Uechi clinch stuff :) , some work taking the back and some god rolling , all no-gi at the moment which is a nice change .
